From its beginning, the studio’s directors – industrial designers JM Massana and JM Tremoleda – have embraced a philosophy that balances the corporate and human aspects of design, to enhance life by imbuing it with innovation, functionality, economy and beauty. As observers of society, the studio offers its own point of view, combining humanistic values with its own design language.
In 2011 the company rebranded as m114, and today offers a collection that encompasses furniture, lighting, complements and accessories. Fruitful collaborations with a rollcall of renowned designers Isamu Noguchi, Alvaro Siza, Oscar Tusquets and Gerard Moline (among others) have resulted in an enviable stable of iconic designs. Flagship products include Azuamoline’s Flod stool, the Hulot coat stand by Joan Gaspar; and Jorge Pensi’s Gimlet stools and chairs.
