Antonino Sciortino
Antonino Sciortino is an artisan-artist with an eclectic soul who reinterprets an old craft in an entirely new way with pure creativity. At eight years old, he began to learn the craft of a blacksmith in his brother's workshop. Not surprisingly, Sciortino's creations derive from the unusual combination of cotto wire, a particular type of iron, more malleable and from time to time resembles wood or plastic allowing realizations of soft lines with spatial animation. His creations are defined by him as a sort of minimal baroque that are versatile, ductile and lend themselves to more functions and accommodations.
