Alexander Lotersztain is an Argentinian-born Australian designer and founder of his highly awarded multi-disciplinary design studio - Derlot. A unique combination of creativity and business savvy has seen this Brisbane-based practitioner establish a sizeable impression on the design community locally and worldwide.
Alexander graduated from Industrial Design at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art in 2000. Upon graduation, he moved to Tokyo, Japan and worked with highly respected studios GK Design Group and IDÉE honing his skills in product and furniture design. After living and working in design capitals Milan and Barcelona, Alexander returned to Brisbane in 2006 to set up Derlot.
Evolving over more than 15 years, Derlot is now one of Australia’s leading design and furniture companies. Alexander brings with him a wealth of expertise across a range of creative disciplines in a truly collaborative and human centred approach to design.
