Area Declic

Aiming to become a large company providing quality with practical usability, Arrmet (Area Declic) launched itself in the Italian market making products based on tubular steel.

The material was already familiar at the time, but it had been little used in interior design and furnishing. Arrmet's design ethos was aimed at developing products which could be produced at an industrial level. In these early years they specialized in school desks and refectory tables, indispensable items forming part of everyday life; and won contracts to supply the naval construction industry, where metal was becoming accepted as a modern product.

Quality is a fundamental principle to which Arrmet has dedicated years of research and development, considering it essential. It is produced by developing a product from conception to maturity with the designer, and from the drawing board to the production stage with the technician.

The spirit of quality runs through the atmosphere of the company; it guides the machine shops and the assembly lines, the upholstery workshops and the warehouses, the technical offices, the sales offices and the drawing offices. Research is the key to success.

Combining different materials like anodised aluminium, coloured plastic, steel and wood enables Arrmet to the create models which are unique, practical and economical.
