Mario Bellini was born in Milan in 1935 and is an architect, critic and designer. From 1959 to 1962 he collaborated as an architect with the Rinascente group. Also in this period he taught at the Istituto Superiore di design in Venice. Mario Bellini has also cooperated with various significant industrial companies such as B&B, Cassina, Brionvega, Yamaha, Artemide, Flos, Vitra and was active in the automotive field with Fiat, Lancia and Renault. The MOMA in New York holds 25 of Mario Bellini''s projects and in 1987 dedicated a monographic exhibition to him.
