Born in Barcelona in 1948, Josep Llusca studied Industrial Design at the EINA School in Barcelona, where he now teaches and is a member of the Governing Council of the Product Design Department. He is a former Vice-President of the Asociacion de Diseñadores Industriales para el Fomento de las Artes Decorativas (ADI-FAD); the Association of Industrial Designers for the Promotion of the Decorative Arts in Barcelona, and a former member of the Advisory Council on Design of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan regional government). His specialities, among others, are domestic and industrial lighting, office and institutional furniture, packaging, sports equipment and toys. He has worked with a great number of international companies such as Carlsberg, Esselte-Dymo, Flos-Arteluce, General Electric, IBM and WMF. As well as designing for Andreu World, Llusca has designed the majority of the Enea range.
