Christof Burtscher was born in Austria in 1964 and started as a master-carpenter and wood carver. Patrizia Bertolini was born in Italy in 1964 and graduated from Rome ISIA, in the department of Industrial Design. They met at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, where they started to work together mixing their different projective styles. In 1991 they moved from Vienna to Bolzano in Italy where they started their new studio in 1995. Their preference goes to the furnishing sector and their prototypes are the result of research work combined with workshop activity. Their names can be found in several exhibitions and competitions. They were awarded with first prize at "Young & Design" in1997 and 1998.
